Hu Jianbo, Research Fellow, Chief Engineerof the Environmental Science and Technology Research Center at the TianjinResearch Institute for Water Transport Engineering, Ministry of Transport. Heis one of the first batch of specially-appointed researchers (in the field ofgreen environmental protection) of the China Navigation Think Tank and servesas the Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Environmental ProtectionTechnology for Waterway Transportation. He has long been engaged in research onthe ecological environment, remote sensing surveys, and protection/restorationtechnologies for ports and waterways. He has undertaken one project under theNational Key R&D Program of China and three provincial/ministerial-levelresearch projects. His work has been recognized with six awards from the ChinaInstitute of Navigation and the China Ports and Harbours Association.
