Dr. Enkhtuvshin Shiilegdamba is a Mongolian Veterinarian graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology, Mongolian Agricultural University and graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of California, Davis (UCD) with Master’s degree in Preventive Veterinary Medicine and Epidemiology (MPVM). For her graduate study at UCD, Dr. Shiilegdamba studied foot and mouth disease outbreak and it’s epidemiology in Mongolia. Following graduation, she completed a Post-doctoral researcher position at the Western Institute for Food Safety and Security at the University of California in Davis as on food-borne illnesses and outbreak investigations. Dr. Enkhtuvshin Shiilegdamba is with WCS since 2007, as the wildlife and veterinary epidemiologist and her main professional interests are avian influenza of wild and migrating birds in Mongolia, foot and mouth disease in Mongolian gazelles, Peste des Petits Ruminants outbreak in Mongolian Saiga antelopes and livestock and wildlife interface diseases of concern for wildlife species. She has been nominated in 2016 as the WCS Mongolia Country Director.
